Lifelong Learning is not just taking classes; it’s an attitude; it’s a choice.  Originally established  in 1957 with a class of 20 journeyman carpenters who needed  to learn welding skills has grown to an enrollment of over 11,500 registrants and more than 700 classes last year.  Check the fantastic selection of classes at or call 549-8765 for a catalog.

Classes Offered:

Fitness and Dance: Keeping your body strong and healthy leads to success in everything else you do. We offer over 100 affordable and fun classes from Country Dance to Yoga every quarter.
Home Improvement:  Save time and money by learning welding, basic plumbing and electrical repairs, planting a vegetable garden or how to build cabinets or install new flooring
Cooking: With hands-on  instruction  you not only learn how to prepare great food you get to take home the leftovers.
Language:  Sign Language, Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian, we have it all!
Art & Crafts:  Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Ceramics, Beading, Jewelry making and more.
Health & Safety: Learn medical terminology, Phlebotomy, Dental Assisting, Certified Nursing Assistant, CPR or First Aid.
Computer Classes: Affordable,  hands-on day and evening classes that cover everything from keyboarding to Microsoft Office.  We also offer classes in Adobe, Quickbooks and Web Development to name a few.
Academic Success Program: Free class to help you get your High School Equivalency diploma, brush up for College or Learn English as a Second Language
Workforce Training: As a market driven program, our mission is to not only meet the needs of today’s workforce but also to prepare for tomorrow’s.  We are continually creating new classes in response to the ever changing business needs.  If employers can’t find the perfect class for their employees, we will arrange  customized contract  training.

U of M – School of Extended  & Lifelong Learning (SELL)

The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning at The University of Montana engages people, organizations and communities for the purpose of advancing knowledge, economic well-being and quality of life by fostering inquiry, learning, and applied research.

SELL is a unique entity on the University of Montana campus. We house a great variety of programs that extend to UM students, UM faculty, Missoula community members, and a wide array of distance learners across the state and beyond. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UM (MOLLI) offers an array of educational and social opportunities that promote the lifelong learning and personal growth of 50+ individuals through a diverse collection of noncredit short courses, special member events, lectures, and community activities.

In addition, we house an excellent conference planning team, and our state-of-the-art Conference Center is the perfect venue for any event.
